The Shire of Carnarvon's Christmas Festival 2016 is a series of free or low cost community events. This years's festival kicks off Friday 2 December with a free outdoor cinema screening of a family Christmas movie, followed by a Christmas Wonderland on Sunday 11 December. The fun continues throughout the month with Carols By Candlelight and the Home and Business Christmas Display Competition.
The Home Christmas Display Competition has participation prizes for everyone who registers. There are three main prizes: first prize is $500 towards the Horizon Power electricity bill; second prize is $250 of local business vouchers; People's Choice prize is $200 of local business vouchers. Further sponsorship for the Business Display Competition will be $500 advertising package for either the local radio station or newspaper.
