Betterways Battle
Your chance to win a $5000 energy efficiency refit to your house!
Horizon Power is giving four households the chance to win energy efficiency refits to the value of $5000 each.
Four households will battle it out to reduce their power bills over a period of four months, between October 2011 and January 2012. Two households of two people or less will compete against each other and two households of three or more people will battle it out in the race to reduce energy use.
The two households (one with two people or less and one with three people or more) which record the biggest percentage drop in energy use over these months will win.
The two winning households can choose to spend their $5000 on energy efficiency improvements - whether it be ceiling fans, a more efficient air-conditioner, new energy efficient appliances, insulation, a solar hot water system or a pergola to keep the heat off the house.
In order to enter you must have been living in your current residence during 1 October 2010 and 31 March 2011. If you are currently have a renewable energy installation, you must also have had one installed during 1 October 2010 to 1 March 2010 to enter. If selected as a competing household, your energy use between 1 October 2011 and 31 January 2012 will be assessed against your bills between 1 October 2010 and 31 March 2011.
