The Western Australian state government has reversed its decision to change the residential 40c/kWh Net Feed-in tariff (FiT) rate.
Premier Colin Barnett advised the state government had listened to customer feedback, and appreciated the commitment many households had made to take up renewable energy, like solar.
Mr Barnett stated that the state government would not be seeking to reduce the 40c/kWh FiT rate as previously announced as part of the state government’s fiscal action plan on Thursday 8 August 2013.
The changes proposed and subsequently reversed did not affect the Renewable Energy Buyback Scheme (REBS).
