The business has received a second consecutive Gold Safety Achievement Award at IFAP’s Safe Way Achiever Awards held on Friday, 3 May 2019.
In an external audit by the Industry Foundation for Accident Prevention (IFAP), Horizon Power was assessed as having demonstrated our ability to maintain, improve and implement our safety management system leading to best practice.
Congratulations also to the Safety and Health team who worked with our people to design a mounted retractable earth reel which received a 1st Runner Up award as part of IFAP’s Safety Innovation Awards.
This innovative solution is making it safer for our people carrying out vehicle earthing when working on or near live apparatus.
It has been installed on Elevated Work Platforms for live high voltage vehicles in Kununurra and Broome and will continue to be implemented across the organisation.
