On 1 July, Horizon Power will introduce the option for customers to connect renewable energy systems that can be generation managed.
A Generation Management Standard is being developed by Horizon Power to give customers the option to install a system where output is controllable, and can either be stored or managed by Horizon Power.
Horizon Power is hosting a renewable energy forum in Perth in July to explain the generation management concept and the opportunities it will present for customers, retailers and installers. This innovation will stimulate the renewable energy market, particularly in towns where hosting capacity has been reached, and will provide more options for customers who are interested in installing larger systems.
The forum will include;
- an overview of the new Generation Management Standard
- technical requirements for connection of generation managed systems
- information about who is eligible to connect and the application process
