Transporting oversize loads near overhead powerlines can be a dangerous operation if the appropriate safety measures are not taken.

Safety of both the public and those involved in transporting oversize loads is the most important aspect of any load movement and Horizon Power will not compromise safety under any circumstances.

Horizon Power must assess all oversize loads on a case-by-case basis to ensure they can travel safely and maintain the appropriate safety clearances. In instances where safety clearances cannot be maintained it may be possible for an escort to be provided or lines to be switched off to allow a load to travel.
